Bouts, pronounced ‘boo’ in English, are odd shaped/non-rectangular stones that cost a bit less than their their brothers with 90˚ corners. The quarry numbers them 1-10, according to surface area. I usually refer to these stones as ‘small’, ‘large’ and ‘larger’ because I rely on actual dimensions and shape to describe the stones.
