This Wasita was sold by Garrett Wade in New York, but it was probably cut and boxed by Norton or Smiths. It’s a marbled Washita, probably dating to the 1960s. It does seem to be spotless, but there is a light oily fragrance – yet no signs of use. Perhaps this was a ‘shop-queen’ stone hoarded by a frugal collector? Who knows – it’s certainly gorgeous to look at though. Approximately 6.0 x 2.0 x 1.0” / 450 g.
