Ancient Koma - 167 g

I refer to this stone as ancient because of the stone’s characteristics and quality. When the stone is wet, 4x magnification reveals an almost holographic pattern of blue/grey flecks mixed in a matrix of very white and off-white stone. The stone feels very hard, slightly brittle actually. Lapping it creates a crisp sort of abrasion feeling, there is nothing pasty or creamy happening on the diamond plate. The slurry is wickedly fine and silky. Edges come up slow but super keen. This is an uncommon stone, it looks and behaves and seems to be what I refer to as the ‘old Koma’. Some old timers call this the ‘real Koma’.
