千日組 - “One Thousand Days Set”.
This is an extremely large 4 piece Koukyuu Mikawa Shiro Nagura set. The total weight is an outstanding 1237 g – 3 of the 4 pieces are over 300 g, the Tejyou is the ‘baby’ of the group as 294 g.
The name – 千日組, or “1000 Days Set”, speaks to the 3 years I spent assembling these 4 stones into this unique matched set. During that time, I did come across many 300g+ stones, but finding 4 stones of this size, that make a matched set, was quite a daunting task. I had almost given up hope; but in January of 2018, the final piece – ‘Neo’ - the 300g Mejiro arrived.
