The very first Old Spice mugs were made of pottery. The second wave of mugs were made of glass, and this is the very first glass model. The sailing vessel on the front is is ‘Ship Friendship”, there are no ribs inside the mug, and the writing on the bottom references Early American Old Spice. These mugs date from 1948 through the early 1950s.
