This mug style shows up in the mid 60s, 1964 or so, but the advertisements I’ve seen show the soap puck being 3.75 oz. This box says the puck is 4.0 oz. Maybe Shulton was using up the stock of old boxes. Maybe this example was released super early and it does have a 4 oz soap puck.
The possibilities aren’t endless but there certainly are some mysteries with these Old Spice mugs….
It’s glass, has a lip, the sailing vessel is Grand Turk. The red plastic lid is the older style, which is very cool.
