Over the years, many have said that Wrisley’s Lavender Shave Soap was actually made by Yardley. I have never found so much as one solid piece of evidence to prove that to be true.
I have not proven it to be false either, but one would think that as connection to Yardley would be information that was somewhat accessible.
At any rate – this is some damn fine soap. On par with the best, for sure. Tallowy goodness, old school shave soap. Nice bowl, clean presentation. I am not sure of the age but I’d guess 1950s.
