This is a very early new old stock example of Yardley English Lavender Shaving Soap. I do not have any backing info, but I do think that all of the later/newer editions had the ‘button top’ bowls and that this ‘flat’ version was how the product was 1st packaged on release back in the 1920s. The wood is sort of flimsy, by comparison. There is no mention on New York on the label, so this is definitely pre-1933. The printed address is 33 Old Bond st, which is Yardley’s original location.
