Front view of a 1959 Gillette 15 blade dispenser. The top is metal, the tray is plastic, and the bottom plate that forms the used blade bank is metal. All 3 parts snap-fit together.

Rear view; you can see the plastic ’tray’ and the metal bottom plate.

Here the dispenser has been opened. This is a 15 blade dispenser, so the blades are stacked 1 at a time, alternating/overlapping on the posts.

To open the dispenser, all you need to do is to gently pry the long sides of the top cover-plate away from the lip on the plastic tray. You can do this with your fingers usually.

Here’s a pic of the ‘blade-bank’ section in the tray. It’s just a depression that is covered by that metal plate, the long lips of the top cover hold it in place.
Here, you can see the new Dorco blades stacked in alternating fashion in the tray.

To reassemble, hold the bottom plate in place, make sure its lip is sitting in the groove correctly.

Then, just slide the top cover-plate back on into place. It should just pop back into place easily and smoothly.

Here is a refilled dispenser next to a NOS dispenser.
