Microtome

 One side is ground hollow, the other side is totally flat. These were designed as a lab tool for cutting thin sections of tissue for viewing with a microscope. When honed correctly, they can be great shavers; sort of like a combination of a western razor and a Kamisori. This one is tang-stamped “Ground in Sheffield”.
