Red Velvet edge-finishing paste has a particle size under 1µm and the PSD spec is extremely tight. The particle shape is semi-spherical and while it’s gentle on the edge, it’s still very efficient. Edges finished on this compound are extremely smooth and comfortable, as well as super keen.
The carrier fluid is Mineral oil.
On its own, Red Velvet excels at dialing up a razors edge that is good but not quite all the way ‘there’. But – it really sings when used after Snow White paste for an uber-fine finishing touch. Relegating its application to a fabric strop that is kept clear of the leather strops is highly advisable
Shake extremely well for a minute or two before use.
