Paddle Strop - 100% Made in the USA
Designed for anyone traveling with a straight razor, these paddle strops are equally functional at home also. But for the traveler – these are ideal; they’re small, compact, lightweight and the sheath protects the strop while keeping it clean.
There are no moving parts here – i.e. - nothing to break. The paddle is wood, and the surface is velvet-finished horsehide fitted to the wood with waterproof epoxy. The sheath is simple and durable also.
The Wood
This is 100 year old Oak from the USA. It’s aged, cured, milled, cut, shaped and sanded right here in the USA too.
The Strop Leather
This is USA veg-tanned horsehide with a velvet finish. The draw is medium and so very silky smooth. It’s my opinion that this is the best stropping leather/surface there is. The edges have been beveled and burnished to assure a perfect stropping experience.
The Sheath Leather
This is 100% USA cowhide that’s drum dyed and veg-tanned. This one-piece leather ‘wrap’ will keep the strop protected from dirt and bumps. The outside finish is a slightly slick semi-gloss while the inside has a textured finish. The closure is a simple lace made from kangaroo leather.
