Asano Stamped Tenjyou Nagura Tennen Toishi
This is a phenomenal mid-range stone; it’s a little harder than a white Tenjyou, and it cuts a little slower also. At the same time – it’s also very fine. These fully stamped older-cut full size bench-stone Nagura are extremely rare, and this is probably the prettiest one I’ve come across.
A stone like this is more of a luxury than a necessity, but anyone looking to work with an all-natural Japanese stone progression would be well served to have this in their bag of tricks.
