Asano Stamped Tenjyou Nagura
The size, shape and weight of this Asano Stamped Mikawa Shiro Nagura makes it exceedingly easy to work with. For me, the heft is perfect and it sits in my hand quite comfortably. The working surface is fairly large which makes it a great option for resurfacing Honzan.
The slurry from this stone starts off a bit coarse and aggressive. It breaks down at a medium rate and goes for a long time. The coloring is a mix of orange and white with some striping along the sides with a mottled pattern on top. This one has been sealed with Cashew Lacquer to preserve the stamps and to limit water ingress.
