Horsehide Strop
Approx 2.75” wide and 18” long.
Basically – I got tired of waiting for someone to make a horsehide strop. There used to be a few guys making them but I haven’t seen one in a long time.
I’m not a leather craftsman – far from it.
But – this strop works as well as any other I’ve used.

This one is 3” wide, with a barber’s end. Little bit better craftsmanship on this one. I’ve decided to go with the velvet-finish exclusively for all of my strops.

This next incarnation is a travel strop - this is the prototype, a template of sorts.
I’ll reverse engineer this to get the measurements and hardware placement set. The leather loop snaps into place on the back - so you can just hook this onto a towel rack or door knob without having to add additional hardware to the assembly.
