
Naniwa Gouken 1000 Professional
In this photo, I’m starting to rework the geometry on this razor’s bevel. This work is always slow going, I like to sneak up on the bevel so I don’t take off more steel than I need to.
This stone is hard, does not load with swarf and it doesn’t.
My early findings with this stone: It’s finer than the 800x Chosera but it seems to be a bit slower than the 800x and the 1k Chosera.
This is a good hard stone for cutlery also; I reworked the edge on the tip of a chefs knife without issue.
